WHO IS marie cardouat ?
Marie Cardouat was born in Finistère on August 7th, 1981.
First directed to preparatory classes for Business Schools, she realized that she wanted to make her passion a job : drawing and painting. She joined the Atelier de Sèvres in Paris to prepare her for art school competitive examinations.
In 2006 she graduated from the School of Decorative Arts of Strasbourg (ESAD). During her studies, she spent a year in Montreal, Quebec, where she confirmed her passion for illustration, color and acrylic painting.
Since then, she has been working in her studio near to Paris, producing fresh and dreamlike illustrations for the Éditions des Correspondances, and in parallel for the youth edition and board games.
Like Pippi Longstocking, she keeps everything and draws her inspiration from everyday life to recreate a world filled with sparkling colors, mischief and tenderness.
